Banana Plug Install..

Thread Starter
I just got some banana plugs from monoprice. Im using 14awg speaker wire and 18awg. Monoprice had a install intruction and it shows that you have to spread out the strands of wire over the banana plug.. How to I spead or the strand or wire? Do I need a tool for that or just use a screw driver or something?

Just use your fingers. You shouldn't need to use a screwdriver to do it, the wires will be fairly easy to bend when they are stripped.

Most wire is slightly twisted when it is made. Once you have the plastic sheath removed from the wire, you should be able to roll the wire between your fingers in the opposite direction off the twist and the wire will separate rather easily.
