'Curb Your Enthusiasm' on HBO HD - Season 7 in HD!

LD: You know, the show's in high-definition now. So I'm looking at the dailies now and I said to the producer, "Listen, this is crazy. I look like I'm 75 years old. Nobody wants to watch an old man being funny. That's just a fact. No one wants to see this old man on TV."

‘Seinfeld’ Cast To Reunite On ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’

Quote:

Seinfeld fans have longed for it since the moment the show aired its final episode eleven painful years ago. The cast of the brilliant and quite possible funniest show ever made, Seinfeld, will make their first on-screen, scripted appearance together since the shows end. The whole gang -- Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards will get together for a new story arc that will span multiple episodes on the ultra-sarcastic and hilarious HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm. The show, as most know, stars Larry David, who created Seinfeld with Jerry Seinfeld.

Don't get your hopes up too, too high; the appearances will be as themselves and not as their characters on Seinfeld. Even so, I'd be shocked if you didn't see the actors offering up some very distinctive dialogue or reactions to give fans that warm and fuzzy feeling of pure unfiltered nostalgia.

The appearances will take place sometime during the show's seventh season. The season isn't set to start and we don't know exactly when the group's involvement will begin, but it has been announced and that's pretty exciting.

That should make for another great season. I may have to subscribe to HBO again when this starts airing.

Hmmm. I've seen a few episodes on HBO HD of recent seasons, and although it was 4:3, I assumed it was HD. It looked better than on the SD channels. I guess it was just upconverted to 720p.

Well it's a story about love, deception, greed, lust and unbridled enthusiasm.

My DVR picked up a new episode entitled It's Not a Reunion Show But It's the Closest You'll Get on 9/8 at 10 PM eastern. But the HBO site says the debut is 9/20. I can't find any more info about this. Anybody now what this is?

possibly on the 101 as they often show premiers of series early.

Thanks for the heads up on this! Looking at the schedule on HBO's site, it appears to be a 21 minute "behind-the-scenes" special about the upcoming season.

Curb Your Enthusiasm
It's Not Reunion Show But It's The Closest You'll Get

A preview of the upcoming Curb season.
Recreating the old Seinfeld sets.
Covering various season 7 plot lines, The Black's, Cheryl & Larry, Loretta & Larry.
And the obvious; the non-reunion reunion.

Highlights:
In addition to Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer, at a minimum...
Newman is back.
Mrs. Costanza is back.
Even Kenny Bania is back.

I can hardly wait.

I caught it last night and it was great. I never realized how much of Seinfeld they are bringing back for Curb.

I thought the show would just have the usual actors in guest roles talking about what they are doing as they have done every time a Seinfeld alum makes an appearance.

Not so. They are making filming a fictitious Seinfeld Reunion Episode part of the storyline, right down to pulling the original sets out of storage and bringing the original writers, cast and crew into the storyline on Curb. It's going to be like an R-rated hybrid episode - Curb Your Seinfeld.

Very psyched to see how it plays out this season. Especially if they try and cast Leon as a new neighbor in Jerry's building.

After watching that special last night, I'm now convinced this is going to be the TV event of the year!

Considering how many fans Seinfeld used to have I wonder if it will have an effect on Curb's ratings?

It should just for curiosity value, even if the majority of new viewers turn off after someone starts swearing.

F*** that, I want to see LD & Loretta in the sack.

LD and Loretta in the sack would be great, as long as we don't have to see larry's long a** balls, lol.
