irregular convergence adjustment line

Between one use and the next my TV developed a bad blue ghost. When I do the convergence adjustment the blue line that I am supposed to line up is not a line at all but a broken/bowed irregular line. The blue line is still bright and in focus, but it is nowhere near straight, and cannot be aligned. The other two lines are fine. I opened it up and there is nothing obviously wrong like an obstruction on the blue lens.

What is wrong with my TV and how can I fix it? In case it matters it is a Hitachi 53FDX01B.
