I have a 32" 1080p samsung lcd tv. My HTPC is hooked up with an hdmi cable (to my asus geforce 8300 mobo). I have tried all the different refresh rates, but i still get a slight flicker which is very straining on the eyes. Any idea how i can fix this?

What interface do you want to use?
If HDMI/DVI I suggest that you use 720p resolution till your problem is resolved.
Does the flicker ocour when running normal PC desktop applications?
Does the flicker occur when playing standard DVDs, and what applicsation do you use to play standard DVDs?
What model Samsung 32" 1080p LCD display and what is your viewing distance?

Im using hdmi-hdmi. Its a samsung LN32B550.
Im not sure flicker is the right word. Its like a very slight horizontal vibration. Its always present, but more noticable on light colors. So i see it when im just looking at the desktop as well as playing videos. The viewing distance is about 8-10 feet.

The flicker is present no matter what resolution i use.
I use programs such as powerdvd, 7MC, MPC-HC

I suspect that you may have some kind of interference or other problem getting smooth power from your AC power system caused by other electical devices in your home.
