Purchased the avr-2310 a week ago and while impressed with it's sound quality, i have a issue with it.
Samsung BD-P1400 in via HDMI (for HD audio), also Coax and multi-channel in (so to compare different audio inputs). Component video in for video.
Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD: same set-up expect no multi-channel in.
From AVR-2310: Monitor out via component to CRT Projector (No HDMI input)
On some scenes from certain movies (eg: wolverine on BR, chapter called Project X, also a few scenes from The Dark Kniight on BR) the projector losses the component signal from the receiver, for a few seconds, then comes back. To me, it's as if the receiver's component input bandwidth isn't enough @ 60mhz, although my previous set-up with a pioneer VSX-D2011 worked flawlessly although it's bandwidth is less. Maybe the denon can't handle ,what is likely, receiving 2 video signals from HDMI and component. It appears to be scenes with bright images AND load transients at the same time, although it doesn't happen on all movies/discs. I have also disconnected the HDMI cable incase this is the issue, but the problem still occurs.
I have tried a direct component connection from BD to projector and the video dropout doesn't happen. This leads me to think it's a problem with the component output (or input) on the denon.
Both blu-ray player and receiver have had latest firmwares installed.
