Thanks JChin ... tried connecting speakers to "B" terminals but the speaker button doesn't have any effect -- no change on the display. The speaker button seems to be inoperative. I confirmed that the "Front Speaker Setup" option is set to Normal as instructed by the owner's manual.
Did try cleaning the Audyssey mic port, no luck.
I haven't tried opening the case yet, I'm hoping to avoid that.
