Hello - Here is my set up
- One PC in my office with Itunes, wired to my router (Netgear DG834N)
- A Time capsule with my Itunes library on it (movies and Music) wired to the router (so that I have wireless access to it in my house)
- A Mac Mini in my living room (latest version 2009 with 4 GB memory, 2.21 Ghz processor)
From my PC, I am trying to stream my library to my Mac mini in my living room. Here is my problem - when I play movies from my shared library with Itunes it works fine. Not the best display in term of media centre but movies will play without rebuffering all the time.
When I try to play the same library with Front Row, movies keep stopping...very annoying.
I don't know what makes the difference. Another wierd thing is that I have an Apple TV in my bedroom upstairs (much further from my PC/router) and movies are streamed fine there.
Is there smthg to do to make it work? So far I am really desapointed with the Mac Mini. I had the ATV, wanted to get more flexibility but FrontRow reminds me of smthg Microsoft would have developped ...
Anyway, any suggestions ?
