Cheap Component splitter?

Purchase three rca "Y" cables and that should do the trick - if RS still sells them. Remember, RS is not for do-it-yourselfers any more! It's all disposable now.

Yes, it should do the trick in introducing shimmering, mirroring, and other objectional image artifacts.

I found mine locally as it is a stock item, at least in my neck of the woods. But will not work with a remote. To do that, I would think you would be looking for a matrix switch.

this might work on baseband a/v signals....which are the red, yellow and white connectors....if youre lucky, the agc circuitry in your equipment will make up for the signal loss.....its a simple and cheap solution which wouldnt require any switching....if u get dark or smeared/degraded video and low audio levels u'll need that distribution amp....

i've never tried 'Y' cable splits with RGB/Y-Pb-Pr signals so i dont know what would happen there....
