PS3 Games Best Buy

Thread Starter
I went to Best Buy today to pick up a cable for my blackberry. They had a few PS3 games in a bin for 9.99, I picked up PES2009 for 10 bucks.

Some of the other games that I saw:

Oblivion
Stuntman Ignition
Tony Hawk Project 8
March Madness 2008
Folklore

They had a few others, I think it's in store only. And they had PSP, DS, Xbox and Wii games as well.

Thanks for the head's up!!

Was that the GOTY edition of Oblivion?

Folklore is a steal at $10.

Just a warning, unless this is a corporate price drop most likely these are store-specific YMMV deals.

My mileage definitely varied here in San Diego. Excited by the prospect of getting Folklore and/or Oblivion for $10/ea. I raced down to my Best Buy (was out running errands anyway). Unfortunately, they were offering Lair, Spider-Man Web of Shadows, Fracture, Naruto Ninja Storm, End War, and a couple of others I wasn't interested in.

Lair is probably worth $10. Just be sure to play the tutorial levels, as you need to adjust to the controls.

Didn't they eventually add non-six axis control to it, too?

Lair had some great music and some fun moments.

You can also get EAT LEAD: The Return of Max Hazard for $10 if you use the $20 Gamer Zone coupon on the myrewardzone.com site.

Has anyone played it? The magazine/website reviews are pretty bad, but user reviews are mixed and mostly positive. Seems like it could be a fun mindless shooter for $10.

yes, they offered non-motion controls to Lair. I believe you need to download the free expansion package from the PSN store though. I don't think its an automatic update, but I could be wrong.

If you don't mind repeating a scene until you get it right, Stuntman Ignition is a steal at $10...

These are location-specific prices, BUT the general clearance at BB is universal. You should see some sort of $10 bin, or half-off rack at every location. With CC's closing, there is now half the amount of electronics superstores to push the same amount of games through. (At least here in VA that's the case). So we'll continue to see a huge uptick in clearance games available at Best Buy in the near future. Until they build more stores at least.

Dude, that's awesome! I'm sure that the game is worth $10, I love shoot-em-ups, even if they're cheesy. I spent $10 on Wolf of The Battlefield: Commando on PSN and I'm sure I'll get more replay value out of Eat Lead.

What I thought was interesting about this sale and one a couple months ago, a lot of the titles available for $10 had bilingual text on the case, either English/Spanish or English/French. The copy of Soul Calibur IV I bought at the last sale is in English/French, though copies of the standard English-only version were still to be found in the regular game racks that day. Must be from some special Canadian stock they are trying to move.
