Box Office / Ticket Window builds? Here's mine...

I'm always interested in seeing home theaters with box offices or any special entrance decor.

Here's my humble attempt at a ticket window as I don't have enough space to build a full-blown box office.

I built a box that extends 8 inches from the wall and screwed a large frame to the front. I then used a resin life-mask of actor Johnny Depp to be "Captain Jack, Theater Manager".
I hand painted the face and added the facial hair, eyelashes, dreadlocks, outfit, etc. A little concealed rope lighting inside the box and some decorations above and below and that's about it.

Here is my humble booth, built with the help of an AVS member a while ago.Lettering made with Print Shop, cut out excess around letters.. Metal disc hand made by a friend.. Plexiglass holes cut out by hand..

That is a cool idea. I have a face mold of Arnold Schwarzenegger from The Terminator. It is numbered, so I have always kept it in a glass case along with a pair of Gargoyles sunglasses like he wore.

I have two windows that are like many of the others I've seen on AVS

I like your windows, Limulus! I'd pay that ticket-taker whatever amount he asked for...As long as it isn't an arm and a leg to get in! (Sorrry, couldn't resist!) )

Love the entrance! Anyway I could get some info on how you made the Captain Jack? Where did you get the resin mask? I really need to add him to our theater! Ha Ha

Looks great, BritInVA! I like the woodwork!

Pkonold- I bought the Johnny Depp life mask on Ebay from Haunted Studios. It is a 3/4 mask which was the perfect depth for my application.
By the way, I enjoyed reading about your theater in Electronic House! Congrats!
