For those that missed the PSN sale earlier, the Back to the Future series is on sale on Amazon for $9.98. Though it doesn't specifically say it anywhere, I would assume this is for all 5 episodes, since the regular price is $19.99. As someone who wasn't really into adventure style games before I got this, I can say it's well worth it. Can't go wrong for ten bucks.
The number of 'likes' has already been reached. EA is supposed to post the promo code at the mentioned time, then head over to the EA/Origin Store and redeem. Not a bad deal to flip or if you want to try the original game (since these are new copies that include the DLC code).
Gamestop has been doing this long before Deus Ex. In fact, it spawned some class action lawsuits way back when. Employees were cutting open games, going home to "learn" about the product they were selling, and then resealing them to look new and selling them as "new".
For me, I like cracking open the case and seeing a pristine virgin disc. Would suck if I saw fingerprints all over the disc.
Yeah, but I mean is that really a deal? The value of the code that they took out was $50, so that's a wash. And the only other thing they gave them was a Buy 2 get one free deal on used game, a promotion they run at least once a month.
And yeah, Gamestop has done this for a while. They open games to put them out on display and then sell them as new for the full new price. Usually they just do it with one copy, but when they have promotions going on they do with their entire stock. Not to mention their return policy on consoles is very customer unfriendly
Anyways, this is deals thread sooooo:
Amazon has Uncharted for 14.99. Great deal for new PS3 owners who have yet to experience this classic
If it's been fixed, it's been fixed. Also, hate to break this to you, but there's no morals in American Business.
They take both working and non working systems, and they do whatever is better for their bottom line. Most of the systems are sold as refuse and they're not being turned around to other users.
So sorry, but I'm not going to cry a river over it.
Especially since they took my money and promised me a launch unit on day one, then kept the money for weeks since they purposely overbooked. Or the fact that they rob people of trade in value on games, turning around and selling them for much more then they bought them for. Where's their morals?
The new slims are manufactured a little bit different, with a smaller fan, new heatsink, and used about 50watts less. Some people actually do care about that stuff (only a few, but some none the less).
They tried selling me a pricey 1 year warranty that would run concurrent to the manufactures warranty. I asked what good that would be and the only thing they came up with was the "ease" of dropping off a system and getting a new one. No thanks.. Sonys very good about RTM'ing hardware under warranty, and visa doubles it for free.
I got a good deal for warranty at best buy when I bought my slim. When I bought it they were offering $50 gift card so I bought the slim and used the gift card to buy their 2 year warranty (1 year concurrent, 1 year additional.) They also said they would refund the warranty as reward dollars if I didn't end up using it (lets hope that actually happens.) I might buy the 2 year warranty from playstation also before a year is up. I've had 2 YLOD's so a good warranty is important.
