Hi Avs Members
Welcome to my HT. I've been very passionate about HT for awhile know and it all began when I got married.
Ive always enjoyed movies since I was young but experienced my HT when I begged my wife for a HTIB. I promised her that I won't buy anything that had to do with Home Theatre again if she allowed me to buy it ( my wife still kicking herself saying why did I let him buy it )
It was RCA pro logic unit and I thought it was the best thing in the world, 14 years later and my addiction got the better of me.
My HT room had been originally treated by a HAA representative ( has gone through some changes ) and the room treatment they chose was by Fonics. Do room treatment make a difference? Yes it does!! a night and day difference.
My equipment is separated from my room.
I have 7 BD players and I use them all.
The story of 7 blu ray players.
When I moved to blu ray from HD DVD I used to own 4 ps3 two region A and two Region B. Once the players became readily available my first BD player was a panasonic dB BD 30 region A. Good player too. Denon then announced there first Transport player. I sold my 4 ps 3 BD players and had to get the transport. I love there design and the idea of them being a Transport. When the region B was available I had to get it too. The 2310 btci came about when I was looking through eBay and they were selling it for a steal. Why not I thought at that price how can I go wrong. I then bought an Oppo bd 80 multi region because I run CIH and it had subtitle shift. I also bought a Sony bdp 550 region B because I noticed there were some movies that didn't play well in all players so I needed another one for back up. But I found the sony did a great job.
I decided to sell the panasonic bd 30 and Sony bdp 550 and buy the Oppo bdp 93 and bdp 93 multi region( which I use as region B ). Waboman told me about the Oppo bdp 93 and the Sony bdp s5000es so I have to thank him for that. I was looking through audiogon one day and noticed they had a few Sony bdp s5000es left ( brand new ) so I decided to go for it. That player retailed for $2599Au and for $500Au delivered how can I pass that up.
I bought a server rack for my players so I had an empty shelve and I orderd the Phillips bdp 3000 available only in region B which I will use also. The good thing is the Dvdo Duo can accept up to 8 hdmi inputs.

Room Calibrated by certified HAA representative. I added Audyssey Eq Pro for the EQ and does an awesome job.
Well thats it. Who knows where it will go in the next 10 years but I hope I can still enjoy it.
This was my old theatre. I didnt mind it but what annoyed me the most was the height of the screen, if there was a problem changing a cable or locating the problem it was an effort ( literally had to rip everything out and lay down inside the cabinet which was very uncomfortable and it took me at least 2 hours + minimum ) and upgrading it . I had to then rerun audyssey everytime and I got sick of it. When I built my home in 2000 I had a room behind me which was used for storage but the wife gave approval a few years back to put my gear in a server unit and I never looked back since then.
