Wait until you receive a static red light, then hold down the 'Monitor/Power' button on the KRP remote (top left). After 3-5 seconds, mine resumed normal operation. After doing more research, I found that it is a built-in safety measure by Pioneer to prevent internal damage to the panel.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that and the blue light came on for one second and then the red light started flashing again, two rapid flashes followed by a one second pause then two rapid flashes, etc., etc..
This same thing happens when I try using the two power buttons.
When I am facing the Kuro if I turn the Kuro off and on again using just the large power button on the left side I can get a steady red light. If I then use the power button to the right of the Kuro, while facing the front of the Kuro, I can get the blue light again but only for one second and then the red light starts flasing as described above.
I really appreciate all of you who have offered suggestions to try and solve this.
Are you all in agreement that the only thing left to do is call Pioneer and have a service tech come to the house?
This is driving me nuts.
