Currently available Nvidia ION based products overview

Thread Starter
As it can be quite confusing keeping track of which Nvidia ION based products are actually currently available to buy (due to all the advance announcements of products that then take months to appear in the shops), I have put together an overview of all currently available Nvidia ION based products:

http://www.linuxtech.net/features/nv..._overview.html

I will be updating this list regularly, as soon as I find out about new ION based products available to buy.

If you know any other ION products available to buy, not on that list please let me know via PM or here in this thread.

That would be rev1, I believe. I don't think it's written anywhere in the box but it's written underneath the motherboard. The first boards were rev0.

Official word from Zotac:

Thanks for letting me know, I have done that now, also added a newegg link for the IONITX-A-U as that one is listed again.

That's very useful info thanks, just for the record the quoted 'Official word from Zotac' is from this post:

I wonder if someone who has one of these new revision IONITX boards can confirm the revision number printed on it, then I could add a note on the webpage.

I have updated the list, adding 3 more ready assembled systems based on Zotac IONITX boards.

While I don't consider any system using a generally available mini-ITX board in a standard mini-ITX case with some added RAM and storage really worth mentioning, I have decided to at least give them a brief mention for completeness sake.

Also their choice of cases could be inspirational for anyone building their own system, so having a look at them could be worth-while.

Also added the Pegatron IPX7A-ION board.

Slightly OT:
I noticed some Chinese website copy&pasted my entire 'Nvidia ION overview' page including links to the images on my server, so I modified the images on my website that they link to slightly....

www .chineselinuxuniversity.net/news/61156.shtml

Guess what flag that is?

I have added the first available ION Netbook to the list!
It's rather interesting as it has a dual core Atom and a HDMI port so it could make a great portable HTPC but unfortunately it seems to be available only in Japan so far.

Here is the link again:

It's no longer listed ("Deactivated Item").

According to others here that's normal practice for newegg when they are out of stock and don't know when they get it back in stock.
I doubt it has been discontinued for good by newegg, so I will leave the link there for now. I also added a link to another US seller, so there are still sources for it in the US.

thought i'd let you know about adding an interesting and cheap case:
M350 Universal Mini-ITX enclosure. There are a couple of different places that sell it but here is one link: http://www.short-circuit.com/product/m350.html
post #19 of 80
tux99 -- Yes, thanks. I looked at that other US source. They are local (San Jose, CA) to me, too.

blackoper -- The M350 is a very interesting case. Mounting it on the back of a TV set would make for an interesting application for a HTPC.

I have a M350 case, that I mounted my Zotac IONITX-A-U in. I got it from the same retailer that I got the mobo from, Orbit-Micro. They weren't the cheapest, but I wanted to get both from the same retailer.

If you look at the picture, there are two USB ports under the front panel.

http://www.orbitmicro.com/global/m350-p-11274.html

The problem is that the front panel is not meant to be opened. It is actually rather difficult with the top cover on. I decided to use these ports, and mod the case.

I purchased a 6" USB extension cable, and mounted it through a hole I cut in the upper right corner of the panel. This makes one of the USB ports accessable to use.

I used the other USB port for a USB remote receiver. I Purchase an Anyware MCE Vista Remote and took the receiver apart. I was then able to separate the actual receiver part from the main board, and soldered short leads to it. I then put a hole in the front of the case, and mounted the front window piece, from the receiver's original housing, in it. I mounted the receiver (and LED) in the window with a hot glue gun. I also had to shorten the original USB cable quite a bit.

I am now trying to come up with a way to mount my Hauppauge HVR-950Q USB card on the inside of the case too. Then the mods would be complete.

Edit: I got some pics:

Thanks, but that one isn't actually available to buy yet.
In any case it's simply another rebadged Pegatron Cape7, like the Prestigio ION which I have listed and which is already available to buy.
Once the Q110 becomes available I will certainly add it, too.

I wish they'd put together something like this with the Atom 330.
Yeah, I don't need a new netbook or laptop. But when one becomes available with the Atom 330/ION combo, I'm gonna get it.

There are a few available (and listed on my overview), but only available in Europe and Asia so far (AFAIK).
