I have renewed my interest in the Insignia NS-HD01 portable HD radio. I was getting ready to go to my local Lifetime Fitness tonight after being absent most of the summer due to other activities. I resurrected my legacy yellow Sony SRFHM55 Sports Walkman AM/FM Stereo Headphone Radio http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SRFHM55-S.../dp/B00001Z3H8 At the time I bought them, which very well could have been nine years ago, it was a good choice for me. I liked presets and digital tuning. I never actually thought it had great battery life, but that may soon be "water under the bridge." Anyway, I have to use tape to keep the battery latch closed. I told myself before the Insignia NS-HD01 even came out that I wouldn't mind getting an AM/FM radio that has an internal rechargeable battery, preferably via mini USB, as well as presets and digital tuning. Actually, as an aside, I had a Sangean DT-200 that I used for quite a while and, somewhat more recently a Sangean DT-220. I liked having the NTSC audio. Anyway, since NTSC audio is a thing of the past now in my area, and the Sony is wearing out, I think the Insignia NS-HD01 might be a good choice for me. For those of you that have owned this for a while now, do you think it would be a suitable radio for listening to while on the treadmill at the local fitness center? If not, why not and what should be some other choices? I still have two HD radios, but if there are some other good analog portable radios, that preferably recharge via mini USB, I would like to hear what they are.
