2.35:1 Screen

I am currently working on an indoor home theater in my basement, but I just thought about having one for outdoor. As my basement is small and will be enough for 4, I thought, why not have a larger screen outdoor and can have more people viewing.

I have been looking around and haven't found what I was looking yet.

I want a 2.35:1 outdoor screen because I will be getting the projector lens for that size.

Does anyone know where I can buy that outdoor screen?
Or a 1.85:1

Something around the 16' screen

For 16 feet wide you can get all sorts of fabrics, tarps, etc... what are your goals/needs outside (do you care if there are seams visible, or rear projection, and so on)?

I don't know if I would take the lens setup outside. I'm going with a scope screen soon, but I'm just going to zoom.

I wasn't really planning on making one, but buying a professional quality one.

And this is front projection only.

Well the easiest is the inflated screens you see here on the forum. Joerod's thread in this section, for example.

Those are professional and made for the outdoors. I don't think they make a scope screen like that, but I haven't searched for one. If you are sure you want to go scope outside, you might have to make it yourself...

I actually just found some great material to use for a screen. And it is long and wide enough to be folded length wise and width wise making the screen thicker for less light passing through.

Its great material to use for an outdoor theater screen. I guess, I'll just save the money and make my own.

does anyone have any tips on making my own theater screen?
Like the best way to hang it, and be smooth.

well i would give you my idea but no one likes it yet it works for great for me. people just don't want to use a painters canvas drop cloth from a hardware store. what is the big deal. yes its slightly brown so what put it in the washer and it will lighten up plus the sun will fade it also. or if you want a pro look get movie screen paint and paint it.
