I find HTIBs to be comforting because choosing my own components seems intimidating, but I understand that it's the way to go. Could I get some recommendations on a 5.1 system?
I have:
Pioneer PDP-4280HD
x-box 360
a macbook pro that I keep connected to my TV via minidisplay->DVI->HDMI
I'd like to spend around $600 give or take a couple hundred. What do you think?
PS Does any mac expert know how to get audio to go from my MBP through the HDMI? I'm running it separately through a toslink right now.
