Onkyo 875, RS232 and PC control

Does anyone have the RS232 control commands for the Onkyo 875 receiver and/or experience in controlling one with a PC?

I'd like to ditch the IR remotes (Harmony 880's), IR repeaters ect and use my Iphone and something like EventGhost/Girder/ect to control the 875.

I believe I found the rs-232 protocols. Is a standard null modem serial cable the right cable for pc->onkyo rs232 coms?
