It really depends on your subs. If you plan to cross your subs over at 80Hz then it doesn't matter, which one you go with according to Jeff (a post of his on the JTR forum). If you want to cross over lower, that is when the differences may reveal themselves.
For me, my planned subs should have no problems playing to 80Hz cleanly. And frankly, the sealed would be better for my current home due to corner placement and smaller cabinets. However, I plan to have these speakers for a long time and if I move them to another room or house, the vented might be more desirable there.
But if your subs are clean and strong to 80Hz, you should have no worries about going with the sealed version.
