IMO, and considering your quad S2's, your best course may very well be getting the 212's (and S8 surrounds). You will never be lacking in any playback category.
That said, and considering my current setup, I would be smart to heed my own advice ... but where's the fun in that ...

It is very unlikely I will buy the 215's (space, WAF, live in a condo), but I am *very* interested in seeing how they turn out. Especially from a SQ standpoint (dynamics, clarity, SPL's have been discussed before :-).
It's a great project for Jeff, especially if he gets 3rd party reviews.
