Also i'm leaning towards a pair of quints for the front L&R and a 8ht for the center. Will this work to my liking, and is the Quintuples available in a sealed version? I'll be switching from paradigm studio 100 f/pair, 690 center, I love the paradigms and have had paradigms for many years . Just wanna have something new for my 3000' room. Jeff if you can chime in please do, i'll be calling you later today. THANKS!
As far as putting the center horizontally, of course you can do that, most owners do actually have the center horizontal. The thing you want to try to do, to the best of your ability, is have the high frequency drivers as close to the same level as possible, and preferably at ear level. All at the same orientation is preferable, but not necessary.
As far as the quintuples in a sealed version, I'd e-mail Jeff with that question, he rarely comes on here, you'd have a better chance of him answering if you e-mail him. He may not even see your question here.
When you get your new JTR's, please post your impressions and how you feel they compare to your Paradigms
