The wood around the old bolt hole might be scored by the old T-nut so it may be difficult to get the new one to bite. With the driver out, if you insert the new T-nut and tap it into the wood (I put a little glue on the exterior of the T-nut) . Then replace the driver and hand tighten the new bolt. I would give it time for the glue to set before using an allen wrench to carefully finish tightening. I did this with one of my T-12's and it worked.
Awesome thank you for the detailed info. I have to hit up HD anyways so I may see if they of them there while there.
On a side note, I think I'm going to put my surrounds in the sideways position instead of upright. About how high is recommended to put surrounds? And since I'm only doing 5.2, I plan on putting them pretty much in line with the seating area as far as where they are lined up with the seating area. Basically like the 5.1 picture on this link if you scroll down.
They also recommend to put the speakers at least 2 feet above the listening level, but is higher better if I can squeeze it? I also am not sure if I put them too close to the ceiling where they are going (since it's only 6'9") if that will have a negative effect.
