I tried to upgrade the firmware on my Philips flat panel, but for somehow I keep getting upgrade not found message.
I use 1GB USB disk by imation which I formated in DOS/FAT and later I copy the autorun.upg in it. I also created a folder called upgrades and placed a copy of the autorun.upg in it, but still no success. I tried both to plug the USB and power up or from the upgrade menu.
I also tested if the USB is able to be detected by inserting it after I turned on the panel and the panel responded by displaying a multimedia menu with 2 folders called pictures and music. So I know the USB can be detected. However if I go to the main menu and go to software update, I still get the message no upgrade found.
I have read post by other in this forum and it seems most people have success with the upgrade.
Is there a limitation/certain type of USB disk I should use?
Any idea why? Thanks.
