What software do you use to author yours?

To the best of my knowledge, he could have only used the following:

MultiAVCHD - A simple, free, authoring program that generates template menus.
Sonic Scenarist - Expensive Professional software with big learning curve
Sony Blu-Print - Expensive professional software no clue on the learning curve
DoStudio (Netblender) - Less expensive than above, but still costly. No clue on the learning curve.

The hangup is in handling the TrueHD and DTSHDMA tracks.

MutliAVCHD, (donate if you use!) works fine with this Sony to Blu also...

I'm so sorry to hear of your lost . I know how you feel I been there and it's not an easy thing to deal with..

Thanks for all your time and energy you put into this project but now it's about you and your family so do what you have to do .

Be well

I'm going to package up the PhotoShop file and source files and pass them on to Steve. I know a number of folks have offered up some help with graphic design in the past, so now is the time to PM Steve and offer to take up the torch.

Now I can simply be one of the guys who sits back and waits for the final product.

Audioxium -

Been there where you are only it took a lot longer for my mom, as she got ALS and it was stretched out over more than a year. Not sure which I woulda preferred if I had actually had a choice about it...

No fun. My heart's with ya. You made the right decision.

Smithey -

Incredible project! Just heard about it. Let me know if there's anything I can do -

1. Movie Title - Pulse (2006 version)
2. Time stamp - Unfortunately no stamp. Towards the end(maybe someone can help)
3. Brief description of the clip- trying to save the day, the couple enters the server room where there is a low pulsing sound.....
4. Audio used and how many channels- DTS
5. Clip Rating - PG-13 (mild violence)
6. Best category for this movie (L F E)

This is a horrible movie with fantastic LFE track, especially the Japanese version. Although, I don't think the Japanese version is available on Bluray.

This movie has been dubbed as the SUB KILLER. The server scene is intense VERY low frequency.

i think scuba should add this clip in the next demo disc if he creates vol 2 , the LFE on the current disc still gives the subs a pretty good workout
poolboy have you auditioned that disc?

There is?

Just in case you didn't know, Steve finished his version about a month ago and it's readily available for download.
There is also another interesting 720P demo file being downloaded now in the Home Theater Accessories thread.
Anybody have links to these available downloads? Or is it a secret. I didn't even know they were done.

I guess we're not part of the 'secret squirrel society' then.

I didn't know about them either.

Where? I've been watching the 2 threads I knew about, haven't seen anything. Where's the info (link)? I see no changes or news in the first posts.

Thank you Cathan, without your post in this thread I would have never known about the completion of the Steve's project. Off to the other thread now.

I sincerely apologize in advance, but, I could not readily locate where to (A) download or (B) buy the 1080P Film Clip or Trailer Demo Disc(s).

Please clue me in by pointing this blind man in the right (URL, PM,, or Email Address) direction for 1080P Film Clip or Trailer Demo Disc(s).

Thanks in advance!

Best keep it to yourself, the music industry takes a very dim and expensive view against any type music sharing!
Actually after watching the 25th Rock & Roll Hall of fame BD, I don't need a mix disc, these fit the bill perfectly... along with the Fender Stratocaster discs...
I realize there is not much action in this thread lately. I have some Demo discs that i downloaded a year ago or more from someone here who put up a Ftp server or site, but i say we can do this in the least . lets get together and trade some . Some of the ones I have burned are compilations, but i do have Dts #9 and # 14 and would be willing to trade for others that i do not have.
For those folks who have some and want some different ones, Pm me and lets see what we can share !
I would suggest for music:

Nine Inch Nails - Beside You In Time BD - Closer
John Mayer - Live in LA - Vultures
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds - Bartender and Don't Drink the Water

For eye candy -
Opening sequence from The International
IMAX sequences from Transformers 2 (Wal Mart Edition for full resolution)

For audio (surround and LFE)

Terminator Salvation Robot sequence all the way through the motorcycle terminators
Matrix Revolutions - Big Head robot at end and the battle in the rain

Not rushing, just curious about an ETA. Any guesses?

My guess is never since a BR demo disk has already been released by another volunteer. Plus they are about to issue a version 2.0.
Okay, thanks for the reply. I've followed the other volunteer and was disappointed because although the disc looks awesome, I have not access to a blu-ray burner.
You can order one from him at minimal cost. Or find a friend to burn it for you.
