And another comment to the pictures that have been posted here in this thread (it was The_U ?), i thing that exposure for 23 seconds is too much and any minimal light source will be much brighter on the picture than in reality... i have tried it with my nikon camera and the dark picture of my G10 changed into gray with 23 seconds exposure...
So maby you can choose some camera setting witch will provide a picture that shows the screen and the black level that you can see with your eyes, and we can use also this settings to be able to compare the pictures we take...
I thought the 23 sec exposure might have been too long so that's why I took some more shots with the following exposure levels at ISO 800:
2 sec at f/4
4 sec at f/4
5 sec at f/4
The camera indicated each of these settings were underexposed but they still show the increased black levels and the retained images.
As far as the IR vs. Phosphorescence and/or Residual Charge, I'm not sure if that's the case or not with my pics. AS I said in my previous posts, before I took the pics, the set hadn't been on in over 21 hours. During the first set of pics, I did access the menu to switch picture modes and quickly exited thereafter. After I was done with the pics, I ran the scrolling bars twice before shutting the unit off.
The second set of shots were taken over two hours later and the set was left in THX mode. I never accessed the on-screen menu, took the shots in less than a minute, and then turned the scrolling bars on one more time.
Before I left for work this morning, I turned on the set again and guess what, I can still see the images. In addition, I can see the HUD from COD MW2 when I run the break-in slide show pics. We haven't played any games on the set in 3 days and have run the scrolling bar quite a bit but the HUD remains.
