HD4650 not outputting 5.1

I have a HD 4650 and it is connected through HDMI to the receiver. I have both updated the Realtek and ATI Cataylst drivers and programs but it is still not outputting 5.1. On the receiver, it states Multi Channel PCM but only the front 3 speakers are working. What can be wrong?

I've also selected 5.1 speaker setup in the audio configuration...

What receiver do you have? Test your speakers to ensure signal connection to all your speakers.
What software player are you using? Check the audio settings in the player.
Do you see ATI HDMI audio in your playback devices?
What OS are you running? XP? Vista? Linux?
