Help! Broke end off my HDMI cable

Thread Starter
I have a 50' HDMI cable running under my house from my AV stuff to my TV. In an unfortunate accident today I managed to snap off the end of the HDMI connected to my receiver. All 19 pins are intact - the plastic housing of the connector snapped and the wires pulled out. Is there an easy way for me to rebuild the connector? Running a new cable is pretty much impossible so I need to be able to do the repair.

I just ordered a Male Solder Kit from Pacific Cable (sorry can't post link as I haven't got three posts ) hoping that I may be able to just use parts of it to make it work.

Thanks for any help.

Stephen.

So no chance of using the current cable to pull a new cable under the house?

Not positive as to what the best solution would be for your HDMI situation - terminating them manually can be very tricky or unreliable.

Although it is bad to use more connections than absolutely necessary, once you get a new cable pulled or fix the existing cable, you might want to finish it behind an HDMI wallplate (basically an HDMI female to female coupler).
