Guys you heard it here first! Sony just announced they are going to debut a PS3 slim in just a couple of weeks and price it at $299!!!! Trust me this is not a joke! They're even going to do a price drop on the current models as soon as tomorrow!

Just remember you heard it here first. Nobody else is reporting this yet so I don't have any linkage to back this up but trust me my sources are never wrong and it will be all over the WORLD shortly!

I'll answer as many questions as I can but be patient as I'm currently discussing some things in PM with multiple members who are coming to me for more info regarding this.

Dude trust me Gslide doesn't know half of what I know on this subject. Usually I trust his word 90% of the time but not on this one.

Hmmm and no "pads" on either of the sides. So it looks like this can only be positioned horizontally.

That is a pretty significant cut in size to be able to keep the power supply in the unit. I wonder if it will still be inside it or if they will be going the Xbox route and making it a separate power brick

Couldn't tell from the other pics (since they didn't show the left side of the unit), but now that they've released these pics of the unit from all angles, someone else asked an important question in one of the hundreds of other Slim threads:

where's the HDD slot?!

Good question. Maybe you cant get to it anymore. Plus where the power cord plugs in looks like the way the PS2 did so I am betting on an external power supply

I checked the pics from ign and amazon and both sides don't show any HDD slot.
Could it be in the front? below the disc slot?

It's got to be under the rear panel. You probably just pull off the plastic feet to access the screws.
