Same here. I went over lunch (noon), and their big display had about 100 DVDs, and the one section that could hold about 10 Blu-rays was sold out.

The regular display case in the back had 5 Blu-rays. I bought one, leaving 4.

hey guys...I just went and picked up the I max version from wm and I have a question.....

I have a 2.35 constant height set up. would you rather just miss out on the I- max scenes and get the reg version OR watch the Imax version with the Imax scenes stretched??? How many minutes of Imax scenes are there and is there any way to know when these scenes are about to come on to try to time changing the A/R ?? BTW..I waited for this to come out on BR ..I didnt see EITHER version in the theater!

I went to my local Wal-Mart Supercenter this morning and picked up this Blu-Ray. Funny thing is the guy rang it up and I got it for 14.14 out the door. I was happy.

Did anyone notice on the back cover just above the PG-13 rating that the dialogue has been changed from the theatrical version? Do we know what dialogue was changed?

Ya thats what some of these people are noticing also when they purchase it in store I guess its a regional thing because mine was 19.96.

It's a few pages back, something with the illiterate robots.
As much as I liked the movie it isn't as if any of the dialogue is consequential or essential to the story at all.

I guess Kurtzman and Orci were busy with Fringe...which was time well spent. That or Paramount rushed the damn thing.

The IMAX version doesn't look like it has any of the nastiness that TDK had, although I only looked at it briefly. The audio was a little lackluster...but my sinuses are acting up so I won't pass judgment yet(plus I haven't watched it in full yet).

Any Canadians know if the ones at our walmarts are the 'big screen edition', or if anyone carries it here? :

is this on all versions of the blu ray or just the wal mart version?

I got the last one on display at my Walmart just now. Who knows if they had more in the back...

All home versions; DVD and Blu-ray.

No it's not. It's the regular version. It's already been mentioned over at michaelbay.com that only Wallmart US would carry the IMAX version. That sucks. Nelson there (the admin) says he can personnally ship the IMAX version outside the US for those interested. I ordered the autographed copy (even those, sold from michael bay's site are not the IMAX version! That exclusive deal was a grand move from Paramount!)

I just picked up the big screen edition at Wal-Mart ($19.96) and I am confused.
Nowhere and I mean nowhere does it mention anything about IMAX.
How is it presented?
When I load it into the player, is there a selection for IMAX or will it just play that way?
You would think that Wal-Mart would have IMAX stamped all over it.

It only has the IMAX version on the disc.

Looks like we are left out of this version I picked up the steelbook version at FS this morning. At least the case is nice...

at my walmart this morning, their security cases couldn't hold the blu ray with the slipcover so they stripped all the slipcovers from the cases and threw them out. I made them get me a new one from the back! craziness...

Just watched the IMAX Walmart version on a 50" Plasma, and a 56" DLP. It was stunning on both. You don't even notice the 235:1 and 178:1 switching and IMAX images are incredible.

The cover inside the cardboard sleeve is Bumble Bee and there is no mention of IMAX on it. The disc does however say Exclusive above the barcode.

Wife just called from Walmart, she's bringing it home. I will be hoping the story line is not as bad as some say.

But I do know this much, my four subs will be getting a workout tonight.
Pretty hard to notice which scenes are Imax and which are 35mm in the 2.35:1 constant version, since it looks equally fantastic start to finish (unlike Dark Knight in which the 35mm scenes were total garbage).
does the I max ver. have DIFFERENT scenes or is it just presented in the diff. aspect ratios?

There is no story-line to speak of. Just metal-on-metal and things blowing up.

Sounds good to me, the heck with the "critics"! It should be a feast for the eyes and ears (the wife will be wearing ear plugs

just got back from Wally World in Epping, NH they had a ton of "BIG SCREEN" TRANSFORMERS II Blu-ray disks available for sale:
($19.96) Too bad they aren't running that $13 dollar deal around here Anyway, if you need in in blu ray and live in my area of New England, there were plenty available at 1pm today: Oct 20, 09.

Looking forward to seeing the movie today for the FIRST TIME (I figured it would look and sound better on our SONY VPL-VW60 pj and 100" STEWART Firehawk SST screen than at the theater).
