Here is mine one day during Christmas.

i dont care about any decoratiosn or other presents other than the one with orange wrapping

This is what I did in the house we recently moved from. 67" rear projection during the day, and at night a 133" electric acoustically transparent drop screen out of a beam I built on the ceiling. No one ever noticed during the day that it converted to a theater at night.

Now I have to put a theater in the new place

Here's my recently developed basement, pretty much our new living room.

H.T. 2.0 and full finished basement is in the electrical stage.

Man I miss basements! Grew up in Ohio, live in Houston. Do not miss the snow. Nice setups gtiguy81 and fuzzybear50!

MarkH, I absolutely love your builds. I especially like your projector screen setup (in your thread), I'm thinking of doing something like that but I don't want the speakers near the screen, I'm going for a "clean" look.

MarkH, love the setup but was wondering do you have a link for the lamps you have? Some of us were wondering about it on the game forums but I don't believe you gave an answer, they are real nice. thx

I love the living room "now you see me now you dont" projector set-up.
I will likely need something simillar in our next home. What mains are you running polk sda's?

Thanks - they are AV123 MFW-15's - 350w powered 15" sub woofers that flat kick some serious booty!

I picked them up on a summer sale with in-home delivery (they are 125lbs each), for around $1100 total.

That is Standout Designs Horizon N702 Plus with the vented shelves, the fan kit for the rears, and the extenders for the rears as the Pioneer SC-27 was almost too deep to fit, so the back extenders helped out a lot. My wife wanted me to remove the bottom center drawer and get the speaker grill cover for it, I will be placing the HTPC in that bottom section behind the speaker grill cover thing. She also wanted the cloth for the doors to hide the components, the IR remotes actually work well through the mesh and it gives it more breathing air flow as well.

The1stCav, love the PAradigm Studio's you have there, personally hoping to eventually upgrade my Monitor series someday to that line.

An upgrade well worth the $$, though those Monitors are still respectable, I have to say I love the Studio's a LOT, but now I want the Signatures........and at minimum a CC-690 center channel as opposed to that CC-590, though again it is formidable as it is.

A vicious cycle that will never end Personally my fronts have been Atoms to Titans to right now the Mini-Monitors. I know unless I came into money somehow though, my trip will have to stop at the Studio line. The Signature line, very nice indeed

It is very akin to my PC building, once you get it built, you want to do so much more with it - 140w per channel isn't enough now, though those ICE Amps are doing their job well, I am already envisioning dedicated external 200 to 400 Watts per channel amps for increased wattage to the speakers, not to get them louder, just to get them more responsive. From there you know how it goes, you just keep reading and wanting more

I've always wanted to post some pics in a thread like this. Here is my setup. The room has been very difficult to work with especially because the entrances to the room are diagonal to each other. After much thought and some suggestions from another forum I went with the tv in front of the fireplace since we don't use it. The foam over the fireplace doesn't look real nice but we have a draft coming through that we need to get fixed. Not as sharp looking as others posted on here but doing the best I can.

Sorry for the delay, didn't notice your comment! The mains were recently upgraded from Polk SDA 2Bs to Polk SDA SRS 1.2 TLs. They were my dream speakers growing up, and found some on Ebay only a few hours away. They sound as good as I remember

I have some pics of the beam during the build if you want to see them. Pretty simple design.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and from what I can see when its movie time, you are beholding a pretty big screen, with the lights out, it is just as beautiful as anyone else's Very cool.

when the lights are off, everything disapears but the screen!



recently i made some panels out of 1x3 covered in black suede. 18" deep thet spans the width of the wall, mounted on the ceiling and the coming down the left wall. gives it a shadow box look and helps minimize reflections.

Some really nice set ups guys!
