So, just to be clear....

If I buy the region-free version from Amazon U.K., it will be the correct, remastered Blu-ray?

Otherwise, I take my chances buying the Region 1 Blu-ray with the yellow UPC sticker....right?

I know there's various combo-packs, too (Robin Hood/Gladiator, Braveheart/Gladiator etc.,) that supposedly have the remastered version, but I really just want to get Gladiator for now.

Just learned yesterday that the remastered version of Gladiator was already made. Thanks to this thread I found out that the best way to get the remastered version was to purchase the Braveheart/Gladiator combo. Thanks!

Best Buy and maybe others are selling Gladiator in a red "100 Years of Movie Memories" Paramount box. Inside it is the same Sapphire Series case and whatnot. I picked up a copy earlier in the week and just confirmed that it is the remastered copy. Just though I would pass the info along.

I think earlier in the thread there were reports of people getting a copy with the yellow UPC but still getting the old version. The only way to be sure is to check to see if the disc says "B1R2" on it.

FWIW, I just bought the Gladiator 2 disc set from Best Buy for $9.99. The packaging is a confusing combination of remaster (or lack thereof) tells: Yellow UPC code, 2 Disc Set" IS above the Paramount Logo on the bottom right insert, "lighter" gray colored discs...

As it does have the "B1R2" designation on disc 1, I guess I can assume its the remastered version, and I guess I'll know for sure when I get a chance to view it smile.gif

Where does it say this is a "2-disc set"? If it is, what is on each of the 2 discs?

I'm confused because I *can* find a 2-disc "extended edition" set but it appears to be some sort of international disc:

Thanks--I might have found that link, but didn't look closely enough (given the cover says nothing of the 2-disc aspect).

All right guys. I know this is an old thread but it's about time I replace my original DVD copy of "Gladiator." Can someone point me to a link to buy the Gladiator Blu-Ray (the good quality remastered one) at a decent price? Any help is appreciated.

Bought mine at Costco, Canada for $9.00 about two weeks ago. Started to read this long thread from the beginning. Just now jumped to the last few pages of this saga. Happy to see a new version was released and that the one I picked up was the new one.
