First, I must thank winston9332 for a good comparison job.
I just returned my denon 1910 due to its inability to process video properly (I've posted about this in the denon 1910 thread a couple of months ago). So I need a new receiver. I'm leaning towards either denon 2310 or onkyo 707. Or maybe a HK 255 or NAD 747.
For me, video processing is the thing that will make me choose one over the other. Both have enough audio features and power for me.
Is there a huge difference between the 2310 and 707?
Have anyone tried either with 480i on component as input?
Is the 2310 much better than the 1910 on video?
Yes, I know the 2310 has the abt2010 chip. But is it actually used for deinterlacing, noise reduction, etc?
(PReP is not important to me)
The reason for that question is that I suspect that in the denon 1910, the abt1030 chip seems to be more or less unused since the adv7840 (from analog devices) seem to process the video first...
