I recently got Digital cable and installed a DVR, but now I seem to have lost my over the air digital HD channels. does anyone know why and how I can get them back with out unplugging the DVR?
Digital cable and OTA digital do not use the same modulation method so your digital cable PVR does not receive actual OTA broaqdcasts. It may provide some of them using different channel numbers. For example my Cox digital cable PVR has analog channels 2,4,5,etc and alsi provides their primary digital sub channels as channel numbers 702, 704, 705 etc.
