::FIOS, some blurry channels/dissapointed::

Hey Guys,

I got FIOS few weeks ago (I switched from Comcast to Verizon). Verizon claims they have best picture among other vendors.. So when I got my verizon, and sat down to see if it will blow me away, it was a dissapointment.. Some channels (mostly local ones) ale blurry, my crappy comcast produced a sharper picture!! HD is satisfactory, but SD could be better!! Anyone also experienced this dylemma? From a get-go there was all sorts of issues, remote sometimes does not work, lip sinc on certain channel.. Maybe I should invest in video processor to briing the image up to speed??

Any thoughts will be greatly appriciated!!

Robert

You might try component cables just to see, some hd cable boxes show pretty extreme differences between hdmi and component. Often component looks better actually. Are you comparing the sd pictures in the same screen format, either stretched or 4:3. Stretched will make it look worse obviously.

If you can't figure it out call Verizon and tell them you're going back to cable if they don't fix it.
