It sounds like a "2" for PQ. Quite good actually.
QUOTE=DM2006RI;21772820]OK here's my two cents: I think the transfer is quite good. The compression is about 15-20mbps on average and the transfer does not show any signs of excessive DNR. Good detail, maybe a bit of EE, but overall it's definitely solid...but keep in mind I haven't seen the Japanese releases so I may not know what I'm missing.
Because the new Miramax logo accompanies the start of the film, I'm guessing (along with the DTS MA) this is a newer master. [Again, note this EQUILIBRIUM transfer is only in this 6-film set -- NOT in the upcoming Renaissance/Equilibrium 2-pack (which is 2.35, but only 5.1 Dolby Digital, and doesn't have the new Miramax logo at the actual start of the film)].
Either way, if you're on the fence, I would definitely give this one a look before spending big bucks on the imports. I haven't seen those to do an A/B comparison but given the low price, the quality here is much better than prior Echo Bridge BD anthologies I've seen. I'll be interested in hearing fans who have the import releases compare it.[/quote]
