VersusHD vs ESPNU-HD POLL

Thread Starter
Very simple question: Which HD channel is more important to you?

ESPNU HD. Only time I have watched Versus in the past year was for one USC game.

maybe I am in the minority but I watch the WEC on versus. They have a stellar bantam and feather weight that the UFC does not have, and strikeforce (showtime) can't compete with. Anyone that knows MMA knows this. WEC is also free so when WEC 43 rolls around, I don't need to fork out 40 bucks for the ppv.

This is why I will be bummed when/if D* drops Versus....

That's a tough call for me. I watch Versus HD a lot more, during hockey season and especially during the playoffs, but some of the college football games airing on ESPNU HD are far more important to me than any hockey game on Versus would be.

I've never had ESPNU-HD so its a tough sell for me. I see their schedule all the time flipping through the guide, so I know the programming. I would watch it a lot more if the PQ wasn't that of a shoddy webcast.

I watch Versus HD a lot more. Big NHL fan, tour de France in the summer, IAAF Athletics, WEC, Bull Riding, decent sports movies (just wish they were HD). I really hope that D* and Crapcast get this resolved before the puck drops in October.

Polls are always fun, but Nielsen says on average, ESPNU beats Versus by better than two to one.

On nights when ESPNU carries NCAA football or basketball, games, Nielsen says it averages three times the number of viewers -- even on nights when Versus carries regular season NHL games.

How about an option for "none"? I have both, watch neither, and would rather the bandwidth be used for other channels.

(x) My provider carries both, I watch both, and I'm glad I'm not a D* customer

VS, and only for the NHL. I may have tuned into ESPNU about a dozen times and that was NCAA hockey.

Versus. I have absolutely no interest in college sports.

VS for the hockey, college football (i'm a byu/mwc fan, also some good pac 10 games) and my wife watches the tour de france. VS for me is a dealbreaker, no VS=no business from me.

this is pretty tough for mountain west conference fans. the mtn, which is the channel for the conference much like the big 10 network, is only available on comcast in mwc areas and nationally on directv. that means all of the displaced mwc team fans had one option once directv finally picked up the mtn. VS carries the bigger games for the conference. for example, byu plays florida state in a couple weeks on vs. all of those byu fans who switched to directv for the mtn are now missing out on the florida state game on vs. this doesn't affect me, but a lot of fans are pretty pissed right now.

ESPNU has SEC and ACC sports, they win.
