I'm looking at using m2ts files and want to make sure I can get HD audio out of them. The next issue is a nice GUI. I love the XBMC GUI and YAMJ on the NMTs isn't bad either (although I've heard it's slow on the A110). I had written off Dune until I read about MyMovies support.
I really have two projects, first is buy a media player, second is build a storage server.
Thanks for the help.
Buy this player .. you will not be disappointed. It is the best player out now for movies and MY Movies is really cool.
I prefer "Ripped" ISOs myself over full ISOs. I hate trailers, Extras and Menus. I rip just the Movie, Forced Subs and HD Def Audio. This methods retains the correct chapters and keeps it neat and clean.
Ripping just the m2ts looses chapter support which is a big deal for me.
MKVs work well but keeping original chapters are a hassle but the direct skip to location is cool... example ... if you hit the number 2 key it goes to 20% of the movie, hit the number 5 key goes to 50% etc etc....
I am torn between MKVs and Ripped ISOs at this point, both have pros and cons but m2ts rips are a distant third... I hope this helps.
Also I GET FULL HD AUDIO OUT OF ALL THE METHODS LISTED ABOVE... Just in case you want to know. ;-).
P.S. Can I come over an watch a movie with you? :-)
