Hi I was wondering if someone has had this or a similar problem with thier TV, any information would be appreciated.
My TV picture seems to be on a 30 minute warm-up cycle, or delay. When I turn the set on I get a black screen (you can tell there is light behind it, but it is basically just black), I have sound, but no picture. After about 30 minutes, if I shut it off, and turn it right back on again, I will get an onscreen message which says "Please wait" and then the picture comes up. If I try shutting if off and turning it right back on again before that initial 30 minutes is up, I will often get a black screen with some thin, colored, vertical lines, which may eventually turn into a picture, or it may have to be turned off and turned back on again, after the 30 minutes has passed, to get a picture. This happens anytime the set is turned on after having been off for more than a couple of minutes or so. After I finally get a picture, the picture is fine, and looks great, and doesn't go away -- no problems once the picture finally comes up. I am unable to see any of the TV onscreen menu information, or volume or channel information or anything at all, until the picture finally comes up after the initial 30 minutes. This didn't start happening until about six to seven months after I bought it -- it was a display model at Circuit City, so no warranty coverage.
Thanks in advance.
