Ok I can get the 1019 for 500 shipped. I can get the Elite for 580 shipped. Which one would you decide? I want to know opinions of which is the better reciever... I plan to use for 50% movies, 40% video games, 10 % music.

For $80 I'd go with the Elite.

you have to dig into the spec's posted in the manuals, but the 1019 is power rated with 2 channels driven and I "think" the Elite line is rated all channels driven. As a general rule, the Elite series is just better built.

Yeah I know to read the specs, buts its confusing. I mean I'm not dumb and know somewhat of what to look at,but the newer terms, etc got my head spinning. so I thought I'd throw it out there for the pros who know. Anyway, definetly thinking the Elite. Got a price of 565 shipped!! Before I pull the trigger wanted to see what others thought about the unit.

I have the Pioneer Elite 21TXH and I'm very happy with it. I need to do some tweaking in the MCACC advance menu. One thing I noticed is I need to turn my volume pretty high to get some good sound from my Definitive 2000 system. I usually listen to DVD's around -15 to -10 DB on the volume control and blue ray around -19 to -17 DB.

Thanks Dan2510. I'm guessing the speakers sensitivity is a little lower or they are just power hogs or the MCACC thinks the rooms acoustics aren't that great. Doesn't matter though what level, as long as it isn't maxxed. Good info though.
