'The Vampire Diaries' on The CW HD - Page 4

American Idol was the only original program that saw any adjustment from the preliminary adults 18-49 rating in the final numbers. It was adjusted up 0.1 to a 7.7 rating.

Despite local preemptions in Chicago and Baltimore the adults 18-49 ratings for The Vampire Diaries and Nikita were unchanged.

dad..

I think I should just follow you around the forums to find shows to watch. I recently started to watch Justified and am disappointed I didn't find it sooner. The wife and I love Vampire Diaries because they aren't afraid to give someone the axe. When they do give someone the axe it generally is a forever thing, they don't keep the character looming around as a Vampire or something like so many other shows try to do.

CW Renews Five Series Including 'Top Model,' 'Vampire Diaries'

'Gossip Girl,' '90210,' 'Supernatural' also picked up for fall

By Andrea Morabito -- Broadcasting & Cable, 4/26/2011 7:09:14 PM

The CW has given early renewals to five of its series: America's Next Top Model, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210 and Supernatural. All five shows will return in fall 2011.

America's Next Top Model, which was picked up for both a fall and midseason cycle, will feature an all-star edition in the fall, where models with the most memorable stories from past cycles will return as characters.

The Vampire Diaries is the network's top-rated drama, averaging 4 million viewers and a 2.9 rating with The CW's target women 18-34 audience in its sophomore season.

Gossip Girl and 90210 are picked up for a fifth and fourth season, respectively, and Supernatural will return for season seven.

Time to open that New Year's left-over bottle of champagne.

It looks like this season will take off in new directions.
Nearly every character is doing something different...

The show keeps getting darker and darker. It hardly resembles season 1 but over all that is a good thing.

Tonite's new episode was interesting.
Looks like Stefan and Damon are going to have more friction going forward....

Is anyone besides me noticing a bucketload of DNR from the CW?
Supernatural last week and now VD.
I have DirecTV.

Pre-empted in Baltimore for high school basketball. Again. Will be shown on Saturday, probably in SD. Again.

To be honest, the so-called HD broadcast I watched looked like SD @ 16x9.

HD this time, unlike an episode of Nikita in December.

Been following this season pretty close.
Generally, it's been good.

Nicholas makes for a very good bad guy.

I think it's time for our gang to give up trying to kill Originals.
They're simply lousy at it...nearly always get their a$$es handed back to 'em.

Past time to move on to a different storyline.

I'm despately expecting for the 4th season.
One of the saddest thing is that Elena becomes vampire as well, which could be anticipated though, since nearly no leading roles (main characters) remain as human, except for Matt and Jeremy somehow like History teacher though..
I wonder if Matt would finally turn out to be a supernatural creature, some kind that is even more mighty than original Vs.
See you on October 11th, I cannot wait!! eek.gif

I hate it that Aloric is no longer with the crew. I really liked him and thought that he gave some depth to the show.
They killed him so he could transfer to "Cult" in the spring. He might come back now and then (most likely via Jeremy's sixth sense), but it is a pity that he's no longer a regular.
I couldn't agree more. Will miss him.

How's everyone enjoying the new season?

Two pretty solid episodes IMO.

Loved when Damon said "you got 10 seconds before I go old fashioned on the new guy!" biggrin.gif

My favorite live-action show.

Poor Matt is the only normal person left in the group.
