That dress is something special, and Gerard Butler seems to agree wink.gif

Is it just me or does any one else want to play Chopsticks on Anne's teeth?

I know I'll catch flack for this, but I found her much more attractive before Les Mis. Before the weight loss and her newfound disingenuous persona. Now I don't want to see her in anything.

Rachel Weisz on the other hand gets me all hot and bothered everytime she appears on screen.

Not particularly, but she does have the whitest teeth I've ever come across...

Did you see her in Stealing Beauty (1996)? She was hot, hot, hot, in that. You get to see her topless, and you also get to see the upper regions of the rain forest.

confused.gif What's wrong with her? I know there's a lot of people who can't stand her as of late, but why? She's fine, I guess!...

Nah but I would prefer to put a bag over her head.

Her persona changed when they were politicking for her Oscar. Did you hear her speeches for the awards she won? They were A-typical Hollywood clap-trap. I guess it's just another reason I love Jennifer Lawrence.

I watched the oscars I heard her speech but frankly I don't remember what she said except the usual thank you everyone you're the best, I'm grateful blah blah blah... I still think people are giving her a hard time for nothing really important... She's a fine actress, she's very pretty with an amazingly hot body wink.gif I like her. As for Jennifer Lawrence, well, it's hard not to love her indeed smile.gif

It's a lot of the, "blah, blah, blah" you mentioned that has stirred everyone up.

I don't understand the Rooney Mara thing. She does nothing for me at all.

I wonder if we're all built with a certain programming that draws us to certain looks. I read the other day that the human brain sees beauty in what it can most easily understand. I'm guessing that's why symmetrical faces and bodies are generally most desired. However, some of the women reverred for their beauty do nothing for me, while others who are considered beautiful, but not put on a pedestal give me the fizzy feeling all over. Perhaps my programer left early for the day when he was working on me.

Further evidence that Ms Mara should be cast as a replicant - Rachel 2.0, perhaps - in Ridley Scott's supposed Blade Runner sequel/reboot/whatever....

You don't have to wonder about it. It's been studied and documented many times over. Just do a search on "science of beauty".

I like them skinny (most of the time wink.gif) and Rooney Mara has this sort of ethereal beauty that makes her very, very attractive. For me at least.

If we all liked the same things life would be boring, and very sad for the "not fitting" kind tongue.gif

I didn't express my thoughts correctly. I'm talking about certain groups liking a certain kind of person while another group doesn't. What's different in our brains that perceives things so differently. What are the set parameters that make a certain features desirable to some while not while not to others. Maybe I'm still not saying it right.

Same thing. It's been studied and documented many times. Do a search on "science of attraction".

If we all liked the same thing, then natural selection wouldn't work. I guess it's sort of 'meta-natural selection'. The natural genetic variation leads to variation in attraction to a mate, which leads to more mixing of genetic varieties, which leads to variation in attraction. It would seem to me that any successful species would tend to move in this direction because it would seem to be something that would be heavily selected for. I.e. any species attracted to exactly the same thing all the time would have much less genetic variation and be more likely to be killed off any time something in the environment changed such that that (now very locked in genetic inheritance) became a serious liability.

If flesh eating aliens show up next week, it could be that they are frightened to death by very white teeth, or consider skinny women with small breasts to be inedible looking, so those folks would survive.

Anne is not my type or anything, but I think she's just amazingly sexy, in that sad, broken sort of way that can be so attractive, in "Love and Other Drugs".

I would have not recognized her at all from the girl in "The Day After Tomorrow". I don't know how long ago that was, but she looks nothing like that in those pictures above. I thought she was just scrumptious in TDaT, which is really the only thing I've seen her in.

You are absolutely correct. Take me for example I'm drawn to any woman who doesn't say, "Get lost."
