A walk down the memory lane. Original Star Trek Hotties (I don't agree with all but do with the most).

I read a book when I was a kid about the making of 'Star Trek' back in the 60's and the costume designer was talking about the difficulty of designing futuristic, sexy clothing for the hot alien chicks in the show, bearing in mind the relatively prudish standards at the time. Network standards stipulated no visible belly-buttons and no underside of the breast (tops & sides were okay); perhaps they feared moss grows there. His rule of thumb: Big boobs - terrible, medium boobs - better, small boobs - great!

Hey, I read the same book (and I'm pretty sure it was published in the 1970s)! Gene Roddenberry was talking specifically about a dress they had made for Leslie Parrish so that it hung from her -- she was the support for the dress rather than the other way around. It was this one.

Thanks, but no apologies necessary. This IS a serious forum, for T&A's sake.

Here, have a peace offering:

And not so bad today at 67. A photo from 2010:

Yes indeed. Those are some good genes.

Never cared for the US version, but I don't like most sitcoms.

I've always liked Rashida. I really like her in Celeste and Jessie Forever. She's very funny. And also in My Idiot Brother as well.

Yeah, I remember the book (and the dress of course), they resorted to painting rubber cement onto her skin so they could finish a scene without filming the pieces that had to be kept covered....

I believe that book (The Making of Star Trek...?) was indeed published in the '70's. My mom threw it out, along with my precious and relatively extensive comic book collection, whilst I was away at college. I never forgave her.

Took my comic book collection with me. I knew better than to trust my parents with anything valuable. wink.gif

And then there was Katarina Witt. Surprisingly, she has been in a couple of movies (Jerry Maguire and Ronin).

She doesn’t take the best facial pictures (much prettier in person and on film, IMO), but she was the ONLY reason I watched figure skating back in the day. She was hot, hot, hot. I saw her last night in “NINE for IX” on ESPN. Still doesn’t look bad for 47. I would in a heartbeat. smile.gif

Well, if we are hitting the wayback machine, I think that a lot of the beauties from back in the day wouldn't translate too well into what we think is "hot" today. Tastes change.

OTOH I believe Ann Baxter could "modern up" and be just as hot if not hotter than she was.
