Changing DVR VIP 722 and VIP 222 setup

I want to reconfigure my Dish Network TV setup to replace an SDTV with a new HDTV

My current setup

DVR VIP 722
*TV 1 - Pioneer HDTV connected via HDMI (in living room)
*TV 2 - Remote SD TV in bedroom 100 yards away on same (upper level) - tv to be replaced

VIP 222
*TV1 - SD TV in lower level room (right below living room)
*TV2 - no TV2 set up

I'd like to keep the recording capability only on the upper level only (so 722 would service only the upper level). I want to replace TV2 in the upper level bedroom with an HDTV. Ideally I'd like to be able to move the 222 upstairs to the remote bedroom - make it TV1 for the VIP 222 and continue to access it from the lower level as a new TV2 -this time for the VIP 222

I have a few questions

1. Will this work? What are my alternatives?
2. What is the range of RF remotes - will it work?
3. How do I do it? I'm assuming I can keep the coaxial cable that is going to the current location of the VIP 222 - and make that TV2 for the 222?
Also I want to maintain TV2 status on the 722 for this location (yes I know the picture will be SD) but I also want to give this location TV1 status on the VIP 222.

Am I better off calling someone to help me do this or can I do this on my own?
Appreciate any help

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. It sounds like you want to move the 222 to the bedroom and connect it to the new tv. In that case, you'll have to run a new coax cable from the dish or the switch to the 222 for HD. You can then use the existing coax connected to the tv out on the 222 to a tv downstairs. It is doubtful that the remote will work. However, you can buy an RF repeater that consists of a transmitter and a receiver. I use a couple of those that I got from Radio Shack. Assuming the new tv is connected to the 222 upstairs by component or HDMI, then you should be able to connect the tv by coax to the 722 for tv2. Is this what you are trying to do?

Thanks - I did just that yesterday - ran another line to my bedroom where the new HDTV is, and moved the receiver upstairs. So now this TV is TV1 in HD for the 222 and TV2 in SD for the 722. The lower level SD TV now works on UHF remote (with a small antenna that got added to the room to enable it to communicate better with the remote box)
