projector

Thread Starter
looking to buy a projector that I can have in a classroom. It needs to project about 15 feet away and would like it to be portable. It needs to be bright enough in case I cannot turn off the lights. It is mainly for showing small video clips, or sometimes a full movie. I don't want to get super el-cheapo that will break in a year. I want to buy something of quality and value, but not something that is bigger than I need. please advise on some products! thanks!

To get you started on your search, you can look at projectorcentral dot com and on their left navigation bar, they have "home theatre", "classroom", etc style Top 10 lists ...the reviews should point you in all kinds of directions!

Also, just read the threads here for about a week, lots of models get mentioned each day.

Well depending on how soon you need it the newly announced Epson 705HD would be pretty sweet. 2500 lumens, 720p and $749. Has a 2 year warranty with 48hr turn around as well.

Interesting! So it looks like Epson wants to take over the budget 720p market with something that will handle both the business and home markets. This should make an interesting thread come October!
