Can I convert PAL dvd to NTSC with a single program

ive got 2 dvds in pal format, how can i convert these to ntsc in the easiest way possible?

can i rip to pc and burn with certain software and set to ntsc? if so what programs can i do this with

Since this is an HTPC forum, an HTPC + HDTV combo is automatically capable of handling the previous incompatible formats. I mean play them as-is. Unless of course you want to re-burn them and play in a stand-alone DVD player.

They have to be re-authored (therefore re-encoded). There is no other way around it. The two are incompatible formats. There is no ripping and reburning to change from PAL to NTSC.

The simplest way that I have found is to use convertxtodvd to re-author them but you loose the menu (you can create a simple menu if needed using the built-in templates in convertxtodvd). It takes about one hour per dvd.

So in convertxtodvd what task am I going to do with each disc? could elaborate please i dont mind losing the menu

Its appreciated. Everything on google was confusing with numerous programs required. Didnt catch a convertxtodvd one, will give it a go.
