do i need this? Belkin PureAV PF30?

i'm looking at this product,
Belkin PureAV PF30 Home Theater Power Console.

i just recently purchased a panasonic plasma p42x1 and i was wondering if i need this. i currently own that tv and a sony ps3. i might be interested in getting an audio setup later on.... is it necessary?

i am currently using an aps surge protector....do i need the upgrade? or is it even considered an upgrade?

i am really new to these kinds of things....
i read in some product reviews and other forums that the belkin product and the like can be used to improve video/audio quality. is this true or is it just a gimmick?

I am having a buzzing noise problem with my plasma. can this be fixed by getting this type of product? i live in a pretty old house, and as mentioned, i may have a bad power source?

i was looking to purchase it at buy.com since it was on sale for $60 at the time i posted. well, i missed the deal and its back up to over $100 now.
but, if a similar deal comes back, i will most likely buy it.
not sure about the return policy. that's something i should've checked out.
