Yeah, but the "murder mystery" part which took up the other three fourths of the show wasn't as funny. I thought they'd get some humor out of people's reactions to Dunder-Mifflin in financial trouble, much like what we got when they thought the branch was closing.

I wonder if Creed will ever return to work.

I loved last night's episode. Hilarious all around.

That's just me. I appear to be alone on this count.

It was fun to see how every traumatic event in Michael's recent life has sent him into a world of make-believe with a board game but it wasn't as much fun seeing the whole office willingly being pulled into his make-believe world when they know they could be looking for new jobs by the end of the day.

The Syndicated version of the office is now available in HD but that depends on the station. Our station that carries it just upgraded to HD syndication equipment.

You're not alone. I thought the murder mystery game was rather charming. It was a nice little diversion for one episode. I'm sure Dunder Mifflin will face more hardships in future episodes that will elicit the type of employee responses most viewers expect from this show.

The accents alone were worth the price of admission!

didn't think the show was funny at all, but looks like i'm in the minority.

it feels to me that this show is getting old real fast and is on its last legs.
they need some fresh new ideas instead of rehashing the same old plot lines.

Interesting

Interesting how people perceive where they fit. Quick review of the posts show 6 liked and 4 didn't.

Agreed. I really liked this show, but it has been done for a couple years. I'm glad they're running earlier season shows on TBS-HD. Reminds me how great this show used to be.

I just started watching the British Office again on DVD. Now, that is some great stuff. Ricky Gervais is hilarious.

Great episode this past week. Laughed many times.

I see from the SHAPE magazine cover that Jenna Fischer does not seem to be pregnant in real life. Quite frankly did not suspect that she was in such good shape from watching the program.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one who groaned when Erin said she had hoped it was a real date request, turning Erin/Andy into that will they/won't they crap. As I've said many times before, the producers love throwing in this "Friends"-like crap to keep female viewers hooked (or at least the stereotypical female viewer who couldn't get enough of Friends back in the day, and today can't get enough of Grey's Anatomy).

Photoshop is a wonderful thing.

What an awesome episode! One of the best written ones ever. It showed Michael at his best when his workers face adversity ( Bankruptcy ), he is there to comfort them ( Playing Murder Mystery) unlike Jim who would have kept them working and worrying about their future. In the end even Jim admitted Michaels method was right when he got off the phone and said we have another murder. Lots of hilarious moments, especially the end with them pointing at each other. I really enjoyed this one from beginning to end. Brilliant stuff!

Thursday's episode was so-so. The only funny part for me was when Jim told Ryan his new office was in the closet.

This is the first time that I did not laugh during the intro scene.

I Agree. Really did not have any flow to this episode and was kind of a let down after last week. Hopefully they will be back on track for the next one after the holiday.

this week was a relief after last weeks piece of crap...

With DM almost to go bankrupt, it is difficult to have an entire episode with sustained funny scenes. I am sure there are many people who can relate to a company going "belly up" that this is not funny to them. I was in that situation almost two years ago.

I, on the other hand, agree completely.

I like business humor so I liked this one, especially the angry crowds treating Dunder-Mifflin execs like they were crooks from Enron.

Is that really how those shareholder meetings go when a company is doing badly?

What's wrong with their attitude? Why, they gave several DM employees a stretch limo ride from Scranton to NYC! They're good people!

Yeah but they haven't met Michael in person and they shown their true faces.. LOL
