I loved how they referenced the documentary Catfish when they went to the "guy's" apartment. The movie is a real life adventure some guys went on to find the true identity of a Facebook "friend" and what they found had hilarious similarities to what Mac and Sweet Dee found.

It was great, that social episode.

No one is who they seem to be on the internet.

Who wants a computer virus?

lol

Awesome ep.

"He kind of made soup of your insides."

And Mac fixating on the nude girlfriend websites. Then the crazy lady shushing Mac and Dee and having Dee's hair.

As usual, I cracked up at Sweet Dee's threat.

"I will put you into the ground!"

Documentary? If Catfish was a documentary, then Transformers is a documentary. Actually, I take that back. I think Transformers was more believable. In any case, I thought that reference was great too.

I thought the episode started off kinda slowly, but it got freaking hilarious. The police station scene had me rolling.

So you're one of the few who think the documentary Catfish was entirely scripted by the documentary film makers? I thought the only ones who believed that were other documentary film makers who couldn't make a documentary as good as it.

I think there are certainly real life cases with similarities, but there's huge problems with the mail scene.

There are huge problems with a lot of scenes (reactions etc).

I thought it was a forgone conclusion that it was fake? At least in my group it was. I'd say that the reason other documentary filmmakers think it's fake is because they know that it's virtually impossible to capture every single important event the way these guys seemed to have captured them. And as far as it being good, that's debatable.

Yes, that's why these other documentary filmmakers restage events and film them as if they were the original events. This does not make a documentary "fake". It's an accepted practice to tell a true story.

I accepted that some parts were probably restaged i.e. Michael Moore style. I also accepted that these nerds would videotape themselves on the toilet if they thought it might end up in one of their documentaries. That's why there was a lot of poor quality footage from handheld consumer cameras in it.

I enjoyed it. That's not debatable.

Another great episode, and one that handles randomness very well.

What I liked most was the comedic take on how our expectations based on incomplete information and stereotypes often differs vastly from what is actually happening.

This episode had me cracking up. I liked how it started off with Dennis & Dee whispering in a closet. Then deconstructed why the gang is there.

The statue is cursed! Let Dee touch it.

"How Mac Got Fat" was a good episode.

So glad I recently lost my beer belly.

Some quality laughs tonight. Seeing Mac skinny again was mind boggling. Did he really gain that weight? Charlie's tripped out dance to Dennis was classic.

Were the flashback scenes shot last year? It appears that Dee was either pregnant or maybe had just had the baby. It'd be pretty cool that they shot all that and then planned for Mac to gain the weight and then go back and finish the episode a year later

Dennis is crazy! ha

Hilarious from beginning to end, especially Dennis' cassette recordings.

Frank really knows how to entertain a group of tourists.
