I thought it was good.

Dennis freaking out and the waiter loudly dragging the chair from Dee's table killed me.

Glenn Howerton is a fantastic comedic actor.
Just his face in that gif alone is classic...

Glenn Howerton is indeed fantastic.

Season Finale is tonight biggrin.gif / frown.gif

I don't want it to end, such a wonderful season. Thinking about drinking some Double IPA for tonight's finale since I have off from work on Friday. Game on!! tongue.gif

This season overall was OK. It had more simplistic throwaway episodes than I care for, especially for a mere ten-episode run.

The finale tonight looks super cereal.
It's a breakfast based ep tonight??

*eta, well I guess it kinda was!

I ended up getting sick yesterday frown.gif

Did not watch to watch this season finale feeling like crap. Sigh. I'll check it out when I'm well

I almost fell asleep during this finale, only to be reawaken by The League. Although, it was amusing to watch a bowl of cereal fly from Dennis' hand as Frank rammed into his car, and I was waiting the entire time for the bar patron to say something as the gang was conducting their poorly implemented trial.

That was so horrible I almost wish the Mayan's were right...

Yeah, I agree with the above posters. I just watched the finale and it wasn't that great.

Keep in mind, it's NYE and I'd rather listen to music and drink beer tongue.gif

Anybody know if IASIF has been renewed for a next season?

Has FX's new channel, FXX, been announced in HD yet? The 9th season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia premiers this September. Two months ahead and I see no word of FXX-HD.

Would be horrible if FXX launches without an HD version. Maybe they'll launch an HD version but carriers will take a year to sign an agreement. Scary! rolleyes.gif

Information? Thanks!

It's a rebranded Fox Soccer. So if you have Fox Soccer HD, and most larger cable and satellite companies do, you'll have FXX HD.

I do! I have E* and I have Fox Soccer-HD so I'm good to go biggrin.gif

Thanks for the reply, oriolesmagic.

Edit:
When the time comes, I guess I'll have to ask for the thread title to renamed. It's not on FX-HD anymore, it's on FXX-HD.

It will be interesting to see how this season was handled. I hope they eased up on the callbacks this time and strived for more originality.

Looking at the preliminary information, there should be some really good episodes. "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award" and "Mac and Dennis Buy a Timeshare" seem like they could be particularly funny judging by the titles alone.

I can't wait for the new season. I rewatched the entire series this summer!

I've been revisiting a lot of it as well. Just the other day I saw "Mac and Charlie Die, Parts 1 & 2" and "Who Pooped the Bed?" Absolutely hilarious stuff. biggrin.gif

I'm going to have to pick between The Bridge and FXX comedies tonight frown.gif

All I can say is I'm really glad I got the Genie for free a few months ago. O_o Futurama, The Soup, It's Always Sunny, The Bridge and Broadchurch all recording at 7pm. Futurama may be done, but South Park will be taking it's place soon enough.

Epic season opener!

Epic indeed. I loved Dee on-stage during her comedic routine. Loved the sound effects and the talk about vaginas. Dennis flipping out at the very end was hilarious. Shaking his hands and stuff, acting all shook-up and crazy.

Season 8 was just released on DVD and Blu Ray, right? Guess I'll be spending the money and buying it shortly tongue.gif
Gotta support the guys and own it for my personal collection. I'll have seasons 1 - 8 plus the Christmas special.

Poor Dee. She deserves a big ol' hug. biggrin.gif

That was a good ending. I thought they would go the expected way and have Dee heaving on Conan's set. Instead, Frank once again put his seemingly endless bank account to colossally frivolous use.
Poor Dee, she banged Azamat Bagatov!
I did see the "Philadelphia" season-opener at San Diego Comic-Con last July and saw the cast at the panel. "The Gang Broke Dee" episode was a riot!

An OK episode last night. I liked Dee and Dennis's options better.
I agree Dennis & Dee's scenario was funnier. Frank stole the show. I want a water filter now. biggrin.gif
post #359 of 398
I agree with the overall message that they were conveying with this episode, but the severely overemphatic nature of how they've been providing overdone social commentary as of late is a bit annoying.

I also don't understand why they feel compelled to have all of these cameo appearances from previously one-time ancillary characters. For this episode it was the principal and the crack dealer. I read that they have plenty more in the episodes ahead.

Last season was only 8 episodes. Feel like owning the video is a waste of money. $25 for the DVD or like $30 for the BRD. So much money for only 8 episodes rolleyes.gif

I would buy the DVD if it was 12 episodes or something. 8 just seems short, but maybe they're all that way.
