Good episode. I re-watched it last night. I need to wear my tie 6" inches from my belt (joking.)

That's one of Charlie's many transparent ways of trying to make himself look taller. Same with his huge hair.

I don't get the FX HD channel but ASIP has been available on Comcast HD On Demand since last season.

Must be a DirecTV thing then. I watch all the FX 'A' list shows in HD. I just want my local Comcast to power up a dedicated FX HD channel to avoid the five day delay before the HD version goes live via On Demand.

it isn't in HD...it is Widescreen SD. It isn't a "direcTV' thing at all...IASP is NOT in HD...how many times do we have to say it? But, who cares, it is still extremely funny. Just like Scrubs was the first 7 years of it's existence. It's so funny it just doesn't matter

The letter to chase utley was classic. I forgot they were telling the story in court, then halfway through the letter it cuts to Dee reading the letter in court and everyones laughing their ass off. Such a good episode.

This season has been great.

This was another episode that looked completely unfunny to me in the previews but was actually hilarious all the way through. I don't know how this show makes ridiculous stories so clever.

I know I'm going to be in the minority here, and I'm usually on the side that everything should be HD, but for IASIP... I don't think they should. The move to wide-screen SD was fine, but I think this show requires a gritty, "independent" look. The barrage of easily-recognizable character actors this season has been a detriment to the show, IMO, and a move to HD would make this show appear like any other prime-time network sitcom.

I'm still loving this show, but I think they need to watch where they take it to keep its edgy feel and humor intact.

Nice.
Last night's episode was a blast. Will re watch tonight.

I dont know how you all feel about this, but any episode where Frank (Danny DeVito) is used sparingly, is an awesome episode. I vote for less Frank and more Charlie and Mack!

Now that's what we need more of....CLASSIC Its Always Sunny.... Beyond funny!!!

Couldn't agree more on both parts. Frank is best in small doses, plus the main cast is just SO damn funny on their own that I prefer to just focus on them.

Agreed.

"Objection!"
"...this is not a courtroom."
"Sustained!"

Thought this ep was great. Was waiting for PETA to get all up in arms about them putting mittens on a kitten for the show.

Loved the video they made for investors: Frank: "EGG!"

I love this show!!! Thursday night's episode was hiliarious!! I'm a lawyer myself and these episodes where Charlie tries to use "legal talk" are so funny...probably the best episode of the season so far. Did anybody catch that the blond busty chick was Heather from Rock of Love? They didn't credit her at the end of the episode.

Also, you can actually buy the d*ck towel on the website that was previously posted apparently. I may be female but I'm probably going to have to get one.

Anybody have the d*ck on the d*ck towel blacked out on your episode? They can swear on the show but can't show the towel?
Yes, it was blacked out for everyone. And they swear, but apparently still can't say a few things; i.e. no "f-bombs"
They can't say the f-word or show drawings of men's privates, but they can describe sexual practices in extreme and hilarious detail. I liked how in last season sweet Dee asked in graphic detail about a flaw in how the "glory hole" worked, like how do you know the gender of the person on the other side? See, not funny the way I ask it!

Good stuff. The storyline about the apples was good.
Again with the cats
I don't see how the Christmas special can be coming out on Blu-ray on Tuesday when the show isn't even shot in HD.
Upscaled. Fox did the same thing when it released the standard-def Seth Macfarlane Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy special on Blu-ray too.
Blu-ray can hold any video format. It's not limited to HD.
Not sure why cable shows still censor. I mean seriously, if you buy add time on IASIP as it is, I can't believe dick towel is going to open you up to a boycott. There's nothing the FCC can do about it.
And BTW, I crack up every time I see the Kitten Mittens bit. That cat falling off the table just kills me.

Name one that isn't HD.

There was talk about how it would be possible to put an entire season's worth of SD television shows onto a single Blu-ray disc and it would be cheaper than multiple DVD's but manufacturers have decided to limit Blu-ray to HD releases only to avoid marketplace confusion.

Adding to the list above, Cannibal Taboo is another that was shot on SD video and is upscaled. Gulliver's Travels took an analog video source (complete with dot crawl, ghosting colors, and tracking errors!) and overfiltered/stretched/cropped it to faux-HD. The tailend of 28 Days Later was shot on film, but otherwise, the rest of that entire movie was shot on very low-res DV.

There's reportedly a little video on It's Always Sunny... with the cast explaining that it's not in HD, and the flipside of the case even mentions (in tiny print) that it's an upconvert.
